I enjoyed reading this article as I begin focusing on my mental health via movement. I did a 21 minute workout that focused on my core and gave a small goal to go outside and walk for 15 minutes which is achievable. I think this is a great approach especially when many individuals focus on “losing weight” or “getting fit” in the new year. Which sometimes leads to consistently inconsistent.
I’m glad you found the article helpful, Marti. I really believe that we underestimate the power of physical movement to balance our mental health. Small steps can bring big results. Movement has powerful effects on our minds. Combined with talk therapy and needed medications, exercise and movement can add a new and helpful dimension to our efforts to be well, happy, and resilient. Continue your efforts. Keep me in the loop.
